Through out this semester I feel like I have learned A lot for example many things that I didn’t know about myself and things that happen around our community. Something That I liked is that we learned a lot about things that happen around us and that we wouldn’t think happen. I really like the project we did because we had to look for some things that happen in our own community and look for different ways in which we can help that situation. I feel that I have grown in many ways for example a bigger desire to help the community in any way and that you don`t need much to make a change. Its the little things that count and maybe you just help someone without even noticing.
Research on descrimination
This article explains how a person with a more common name would be most likely to be hired but someone with a more uncommon name would not. Maybe the name just gives it up maybe a more common name makes people think that they might be more loyal or more well fitted with the job. Unlike an uncommon name will make others think hmm i havent heard this name before and I don’t think they will be a good fit for this job. Unusual spelled names that have different punctuation usually are considered to be in a low socio-economic status

What everyone had been talking about around camp is true. We will soon leave to Utah and everyone is excited about the move. It could be better to move there we might live better. We packed everything we had. Mother would wake up at 5 to wash to make sure everything was clean to be able to pack. I finally received a letter in returned after I asked about pepper. They said he had passed away, he died during his sleep. I ran far into camp to grieve his death.

When we finished our shower we realized that we had left our towels. Emi had to run back for them and i heard that we were all moving . we didn’t know what that meant, when ken got home he told us that we were moving to Utah or Idaho. He still had in mind about going back into the university but now he has decided to stay with us so that he can help us when we move.

I find out that there is going to be a wedding inside camp and everyone is invited i run and go tell my new friend emi. After the wedding they couldn’t do as they wished they couldn’t exactly leave the camp but they could just wander. Ken had news, he could have a chance to leave camp to finish school. He had promised father that he would take care of mother and I. Mother still encourages him to go because she knows that dad would also agree to that. She tells ken that he shouldn’t be too worried about us.

We heard that all japanese were going to be sent away. The U.S wouldn’t dare to do such thing. We would wait every night desperately for when father would arrive but that day never came. We finally got a postcard from dad and he says he is in San Francisco in a detention center. When we went to visit him he seemed very worn out and tired but he kept saying that he was fine and that he would be able to leave soon. On christmas we found out he was gone to a camp in Montana along with other japanese men

I don’t understand why father was taken away i don’t understand what is happening. Why is that there are two policemen standing next to the front and back door watching us and that no one can leave or enter our house. My father is being taken away for some reason, all i heard was some questioning. When will he be back though. One of the officers was guarding the phone no calls were to be answered or returned

I agree that voting should be mandatory because according to the article “should voting be mandatory” by William Galston many countries already have mandatory voting and the U.S should be added to that list as well. Many people are always complaining about how the wrong people get elected to be president and how many issues are passed but they don’t even bother to vote because they think that their vote wont even matter. if it was mandatory to vote they wouldn’t have any other choice than to vote and they will actually take the time to think what is best and what is not and contribute in elections.
Small business:
When we started brainstorming at the beginning of this project we had many ideas then we brought up that high school dropouts are a big problem. We are a non-profit business that specializes in helping out teens that are thinking about about dropping put. There is always many different reasons why a student would think of dropping out maybe because they have problems at home or they think they’re grades arent good enough to graduate. We will be contacted direvtly by the district if they see a high increase of student dropouts in their high schools.
Wellness Blog #1
Social wellness is building good relationships with others, properly dealing with conflicts and to positively connect to social network. It can also be the ability one has to be able to interact with one another.
To build good relationships with others involves having good communication skills with others, meaningful relationships, by all means especially respecting yourself as well as others and being supportive with your family as well as your friends.
I use social wellness in my daily life by not reacting to things by impulse when im mad but actually thinking about a better way to react to it without being aggressive. Also by having good communication with all my family, friends and people who surround me in a regular basis.
It may also include to be careful about whom you chose to start a friendship or a relationship with and to actually take care of that friendship and treasure it.
You should take care of a relationship/ friendship how you would take care of a crystal decorative because you cant just throw it around everywhere, you have to treat it with care and make sure that nothing can hurt it but you have to grow with that relationship as well.
How I plan on using social wellness on my daily life in the future is mainly by having good relationship and communication with my family because It is something I am not strong in right now but I can better it through social wellness in a future. Also starting off by respecting myself and those who surround me because you always need to remember no matter who the person is what position they may stand you always have to treat people with
